You’ll also experience scenic views that are only accessible by snowmobile in the winter or long hikes in the spring, summer, or fall, that many can't physically undertake.  Let your mind wander while traveling the snowy backcountry, viewing Deer, Moose, Fox, Coyotes, Rabbits, and Ruffed Grouse in their wintry habitat.  View from a mountaintop a spectacular vista spanning over a hundred miles.  Enjoy a mid-day hot lunch prepared by your Maine Guide while enjoying your outdoor experience.

Flat Water Kayaking

Kayaks are growing in popularity. This stable, comfortable, easy to maneuver watercraft allows one to escape into a quiet, serene place on a small remote pond, easy flowing stream or river, or wildlife filled backwater.  Whether just relaxing with a slow paddle, fishing, or cruising the waters in search of birds and wildlife to photograph, natural beauty abounds. Once you experience this mode of travel across the water with your Maine Guide, you will want to return for many more kayaking experiences. 

Photography Adventures

Maine provides a multitude of opportunities to view and photograph the beauty of nature. Birds of prey such as the American Bald Eagle, hawks & owls may be captured on film as well as waterfowl, deer, moose, fox, coyotes, songbirds and don't leave out the fun-filled chipmunks and squirrels. Majestic mountain ranges, serene ponds and streams, seasonal foliage, waterfalls, historically significant locations, just to name a few.  Your Maine Guide can bring you to the most likely habitats and locations to find your subject and at the same time share with you the historical value that the species or site holds in Maine’s history.  You'll want to be prepared with several digital cards and lots of batteries. Your Maine Guide will provide you with an experience you will want to bring home to share with your photography friends and family. 

Snowshoeing

Get away from the noise and traffic of a busy life; relax in the quiet of the woods and meadows of a wintry wonderland.  A slow, quiet pace on snowshoes will bring you into the winter habitat of deer, rabbits, grouse, and other native Maine animals and birds.  Whether to relax and enjoy the sights of winter and the tranquility of the woods or to find wildlife and birds to photograph, you will enjoy your snowshoeing trip and sleep very well that evening after a day in the fresh clean air.
